Back There
I was born on a farm in Tasmania.
My first memory is the moon and Milky May lighting the frozen sky over the winter trees. On a cold night you can see way out along the spiral arm of the galaxy, down the galactic plane. Its a beautiful place to grow up, for seeing.
My mother still lives nearby. This series is from a visit I paid back home in 2010, mostly shot at my parents’ house or on several long walks from there, including one up to the church my mother’s family have attended since 1861.
It’s a long way home.
